At Synovia we apply four disciplines needed for lasting success including medical, nutrition, exercise and behavior modification. Coordinating these four disciplines effectively lies at the heart of what makes Synovia different.
Through our intake process we are able to provide you with an accurate assessment of your current body composition and track your progress over time via multiple mobile applications.
We partner and coordinate care with the medical community
The first step at Synovia is as simple as a conversation at our convenient location. To create an effective program we must first understand your unique situation and the underlying factors that have led to where you are today. Simply put, this intake process allows Synovia to understand your unique profile, get to know you personally, and provide only the recommendations that match your needs.
We will discuss a recommendation and the products/services that would best suit your needs. In most cases, this involves a combination of medical, nutrition, exercise, and behavior change solutions. We will also discuss pricing and answer any questions you may have.
When you decide to join the Synovia family you will meet with Medical, Nutrition and Exercise professionals. These professionals, in combination with a number of tests will work together to create your individualized Action Plan. Asking the right questions and collecting a variety of data is critical; it is only when we address the underlying factors and create an individualized solution that we can provide an optimal plan for success. This care plan is our initial road map that we will carry out in weekly visits to our facility.
Synovia is uniquely positioned to provide our clients with end-to-end weight loss and performance management. Our team of trainers and professionals will work with you in our proprietary process of goal assessment and execution to provide you with a comprehensive plan of goal achievement.
Synovia Wellness Consulting works to support your surgeon to maximize surgical outcomes and enhance total health by providing medical oversight, nutritional education, tailored exercise, and behavioral counseling. Our professionals adhere to the specific protocol of your Bariatric Center to satisfy established pre-surgical requirements that offer the best opportunity for long-term success. How can Synovia Wellness help you with your pre-surgery requirements? What is different about Synovia?
Most programs consist of visits just once a month for 7 months – these monthly seminars review different education topics each month, leading up to surgery.
Synovia’s program consists of weekly visits covering the same topics and providing a much more comprehensive resource for medical oversight, nutrition, exercise, and behavior change prior to surgery. All of this is provided in our convenient, judgement free center.
We are proud to have developed a special clinical pathway to fit your specific health needs. While many aspects of the Synovia program remain the same, there are some important specifics in how we help you meet your goals. Synovia works with your endocrine physician to create a weight loss and lifestyle modification plan specific to your unique profile. For this reason, Synovia is the trusted partner of endocrine physicians to aid you on your journey.
We encourage all of our clients to consider tracking and logging their daily intake, whether it is through an app on their smartphones, a fitness tracker, or a simple diary on paper. While this is important for all of our Synovia clients, this is especially so for our diabetic patients, as monitoring their blood sugar levels is vital. Tracking and logging throughout the day is a wonderful tool for success!
While physical activity is one of the guiding principles of the Synovia philosophy, our client’s individual needs are our priority. If you have diabetes, or are pre-diabetic, we have protocols tailored for you, so you can safely and successfully incorporate activity into your life.
Not only can eating fiber help you feel fuller longer, increased volumes of fiber can also slow the body’s absorption of sugar and assist in improving blood sugar levels.
Our level of commitment to you as a person. Our goal is, and always will be, to provide the highest standard of singular care and support to each one of our patients. Your success is our success and at Synovia we strive to see each of our clients and patients achieve their personal goals.
Synovia is well suited to help with the unique challenges you as the Orthopedic patient may face. Obesity is not only a risk factor for developing arthritis in the knees and hips, it is linked to less favorable outcomes after joint replacement surgery, not to mention longer hospital stays, higher overall costs and failure rates leading to revision surgeries. We work with your doctor to help you achieve the best possible results, not just for surgery, but for the long term.
Did you know that being overweight can increase the likelihood of a heart attack after the surgery? It can also increase the risk of wound infection post-surgery. Furthermore, deep vein thrombosis, commonly known as blood clots in the leg, can also be a complication. Synovia wants to work with you and your doctor to avoid these risks to ensure a smoother, safer, recovery.
Losing weight as an orthopedic patient can have a huge effect on your quality of life, pre and post surgery. One of the biggest benefits is that weight loss can potentially help to improve pain management to the point where surgery is no longer necessary. Another great benefit is that weight loss may delay the procedure for a number of years. Because artificial joints require replacement roughly every 15 years, delaying surgery can be an optimal choice for you.
Synovia wants to improve your quality of life, not just for surgery, but after as well. Our whole person approach to weight-loss, nutrition, and behavior has allowed us to assist patients from all areas of life in reaching their goals. We are uniquely qualified to help you as an orthopedic patient; with our care model we coordinate with your doctor to provide you with the best comprehensive care possible.
